Welcome to The 80th Anniversary of Government Buses Blog

Welcome to the 80th Anniversary of Government Buses Blog.

This blog has been created to Mark the 80th Anniversary of Government Bus Services in Sydney which will be in 2012.

The First Government Bus operated on the 25th December in 1932 from Cremorne Junction to Manly Wharf and was route 144 and still exists today operating from Chatswood Railway Station to Manly Wharf.

Bus Tours and rallys will be put together to mark this anniversary and to remember our yesterdays Government Bus Fleet from the 1940s till now. Travel back In Time back to the days these Buses were in Service to experience a rare occasion on traveling on Buses that use to be.
